Breast reconstruction results can be deeply disappointing when they don't meet expectations, and these feelings of frustration are completely valid. Many patients in this community have shared similar experiences with reconstruction outcomes and the lack of understanding from family members during this vulnerable time. Consider discussing revision options with your surgeon or seeking a second opinion, as additional procedures may help improve the results you're hoping for.

6 months agoI am so sorry to hear about all you are going through. I lost one of my nipples after breast reduction. Due to my naturally large size, the reduction has changed the shape of my body. Look up Louise Hay. She is deceased but still has a lot of videos on YouTube and her books are still popular. She is teaching me to love my body unconditionally. I wish the best for you. They can do so many things now with plastic surgery. You may need a new doctor that you feel comfortable talking to about this. You deserve to feel beautiful and loved. I wish you love and better days ahead.

6 months agoYes, my plastic surgeon did not do a good job either, what do you do? I can't go through that again. She reduced my good left breast to match the cancer right breast and didn't make it small enough, so it was a waste and the nipple points to the left. My right had to be drained because they didn't do anything early enough when I complained and now I have an additional dent in the top of my breast. So I feel your pain. Except I am by myself. So I don't have family ignoring me.

6 months agoI second everything you said. I went through the same experience. I’m 46 and divorced so my family encourages me to except my body cause I’m a warrior with the battle stories and scars to go with it. Still I struggle with accepting the end results
