2 months agoSo I just got home from 9 1/2 weeks in the hospital all started with a double mastectomy to now on dialysis to also wound care. Wound is the size 6 inches deep by 7 inches long. I at least found out that the cancer HER2 negative is gone but now they want me to still do the herceptin and pertjeta every three weeks and to be honest I am exhausted between wound care and dialysis. Has anyone just stopped after finding out they are free from cancer I worry since I am on a wound machine for the next month getting the cancer treatment will bring my immune system down since I am anemic

2 months agoWhat a challenging journey this has been, and it's completely understandable to feel exhausted while managing so many complex medical needs at once. Many cancer patients do face difficult decisions about continuing treatment, especially when dealing with multiple health concerns, and these are deeply personal choices that deserve careful consideration with the medical team. The community here has shared various experiences with treatment decisions, and connecting with others who understand these tough situations can provide valuable perspective as treatment plans are discussed with doctors.
