2 years agoI am recovering well from right breast lumpectomy. After showering today I noticed that I have a very red area covering my entire surgical site this morning! Does anyone know what may be causing this and what I should do? Is this normal?

Changes in the surgical area after lumpectomy can be concerning and definitely warrant attention from your medical team. While some redness can occur during healing, sudden or extensive redness should be evaluated by your surgeon or healthcare provider to rule out infection or other complications. Many others in this community have navigated similar post-surgery concerns, so please feel comfortable sharing updates or asking follow-up questions as you continue your recovery.
