Anyone Else with Early Stage Lung Cancer?

I have stage 1 Adenocarcinoma. They want to remove the lower right lobe of my lung. There was no mention of chemo or radiation afterwards

I am doing 4 treatments before surgery and then surgery

Stage 2 lung cancer. Surgery done on June 30. No mention of radiation or chemo. After surgery all margins and adjacent lymph nodes are clear

My surgery is after 4 chemo treatments to shrink the nodule as much as possible. Surgery at the end of Sept timeframe....im at MSK

Laurie Sorry you're having to do chemo. My tumor was large, neuroendocrine carcinoid tumor in lower left lung about size of tennis ball. Had full body PET scan prior to surgery. Cancer had not spread. Tumor was removed by robotic surgery, not so invasive. Part of lung had to go but recovery has gone well. I will have scans for 5 years to be sure cancer doesn't return.

That's great....mine is small RIght lower lobe but spread to 1 adjacent lymph...so MSK wasnt taking any chances I will have the lobe removed but yeh, after 4 full rounds......

Sounds like you are in a good place. Know you have a while until surgery, hope it's goes well for you and all cancer is removed.

Awesome news from all of you! I am done w my last chemo next Thursday. Thank god! I will have a CT scan 3 weeks after September 9, then PET Scan soon after.....then pre op testing 9/15 in NYC MSK and then meeting w Surgeon to consent for surgery....prob end of Sept/beg of Oct Keep praying! 1st scan after 2 rounds was unchanged.....so no new growths, 3.1cm tumor localized and hopefully 2nd CT will show some shrinkage......
