My husband is scheduled for bladder removal surgery for muscle invasive bladder cancer, on July 29. I am worried not only because of this but also he was just released today, July 25 from the hospital with pneumonia after 2 days in the hospital. Anyone go through something like this?

Supporting someone through major surgery after a recent hospitalization adds extra layers of concern, and it's completely understandable to feel overwhelmed by this timing. Focusing on helping your husband rest and recover from the pneumonia while preparing for the upcoming procedure can make a real difference - many caregivers in this community have navigated similar challenging situations and may share their experiences and practical tips for supporting loved ones through this journey.

How did his surgery go? I just was diagnosed on Monday with muscle invasive bladder cancer also. I was just curious as to how tough his recovery has been from the surgery. I haven’t seen my oncologist yet. I see him on Monday so I’m not sure if I will have to have my bladder removed or not, but I was just curious in case I do.
