2 years agoGeneral comment- I had one implant at surgery for double mastectomy- my surgeon ( who I trust completely) said it helps with later reconstruction of second breast which couldn't take an implant at that time because she wanted to remove any and all potential skin involvement of the cancer- later reconstruction will require some skin grafting- I feel like Humpty Dumpty when I look at me in the mirror- but I totally love my body and the way it has brought me through all of this treatment with minimal discomfort or side effects... i am 78, have been told ( by many) I look early 60s... lost hair but it is growing back- I just finished all acute treatments and ready to get on with my life and my beautiful body
