I had a double masectomy with reconstruction 2 months ago. I'm still sore and stiff. My shoulder is very painful. I'm in physical therapy, but I am frustrated with my progress 😤 any suggestions?

Recovery timelines vary greatly from person to person, but shoulder pain and stiffness are common experiences after this type of surgery, and many find that progress continues well beyond the two-month mark. Physical therapy is an excellent step, and while progress can feel slow, the combination of professional guidance and patience with the healing process often leads to meaningful improvement over time.

I had the same 3 months ago. I’m very stiff as well, PT may help but the spots available are far and few between which is frustrating. I’ve been trying to do on my own a couple times a day and I think it’s helping. My main struggle is the right side where my cancer is still just more angry than the other side and I’m still just have more fluid on that side causing tightness.
