How do I adjust to life after bladder removal and ileal conduit surgery?

15 days agoI had stage 1 bladder cancer had bladder removed because I had squamous cell carcinoma. I tried the BCG treatments but they did not work. They removed the bladder before the cancer spread to the muscles. They also did a hysterectomy. I have wear a illiostomy bag with conduit. Had it in January I have been luck so far no sign of cancer

10 days agoWhy you have bladder removed at stage 1? I had stage 3, urologist wanted remove bladder, my oncologist said surgery last option. After 8 months of chemo I'm now cancer free and still have my bladder

7 days agoI would think the squamous cell carcinoma would have been the reason as I have it as a variant and it is very aggressive.
