5 months agoHas anyone with tonsil cancer had a peg tube put in during treatment. Is it better to get before treatment starts?
Accepted Answer
This is such an important question to discuss with your medical team, as the timing of PEG tube placement can vary based on individual treatment plans and circumstances. Many people in this community have shared experiences with feeding tubes during head and neck cancer treatment, and connecting with others who've been through similar decisions can provide valuable insights. Consider asking your oncologist and surgeon about the pros and cons of pre-treatment versus during-treatment placement based on your specific situation.

5 months agoMy husband had his G tube placed after 3 weeks of radiation and weekly chemo. He had lost 20 pounds and was quite weak.He was great full to have it, as eating had become a challenge. Meds can be crushed or changed to liquid and given through the tube easily.
