Hello fellow Cancer patience. I was diagnosed with CLL in August. I’m still awaiting my first Oncology appointment in October. I have been told that my WBC are in now within limits and not experiencing any B Cell symptoms so just wait to see what happens. Is this normal? My husband was diagnosed with HCC (Liver Cancer) on Thursday. We will see the Oncologist on Tuesday. As a provider for him, what will the procedures and or treatment be for him? Any advise provided will be greatly appreciated. God bless you all!!

Yes, watching and waiting is a common approach for CLL when blood counts are stable and symptoms aren't present - many patients experience this same approach from their medical teams. This must feel overwhelming with two cancer diagnoses in your household, and the cancer community here understands how challenging it can be to navigate appointments and treatment planning for multiple conditions at once. Consider preparing a list of questions before each appointment to help make the most of your time with the oncologists, and remember that this supportive community is here as you both move forward with your care.
