a month agoHi just been diagnosed with an aplastic Thyroid cancer. I have had surgery to remove my Thyroid, a large tumor wrapped around my esophagus and I had a bilateral neck dissection. I have a PET scan on Monday and am worried about doing the scan and the results. Any advice on how to relieve my anxiety about the PET scan.

a month agoThe PET scan is not bad. Does not last long. Not near as bad as an MRI

a month agoPre-scan anxiety is completely understandable, especially after such extensive surgery. Many people find deep breathing exercises, meditation apps, or light activities like listening to music or podcasts helpful in managing scan-related worries. The community here often shares their own coping strategies, so connecting with others who've been through similar experiences might provide additional comfort and practical tips.
