Has anyone with TNBC avoided red devil chemo due to heart issues?

Hi, I'm 46 and just got diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer-Grade 3-Stage 2B. Genetic testing came back inconclusive with a variety of uncertain significance in the POLE Gene. I want to stay away from the red devil bc of current heart issues and family history. Then will be doing a bilateral masectomy with reconstruction. Has anyone here with TNBC done chemo treatments without red devil?

How are others managing neoadjuvant chemo for triple negative breast cancer?

Traci I’m sorry you are on this journey that I just started for Triple Negative, Stage 1, grade 3, T0,N0-no node involvement at 62. 2/4/26, I started neoadjuvant chemo dose dense AC-T,2-4week cycles, then 12 weekly ones. It will be followed by bilateral mastectomy with diep flap reconstruction. With #1-2 infusions completed, I still feel good but a bit tired, never had pain, no nausea without using Compazine or Zuprexa, and have been able to walk 1-2 miles each day. Will soon lose hair but have a wig ready to use as needed. FYI My oncologist recommended incorporating mindful meditation as self care as has my yoga teacher. I’m using a free app Insight Timer with thousands of recordings. There is also a subscription option with more features. All the best to you & your family.

What new TNBC treatments like DATROWAY should I know about?

I had triple negative breast cancer and finished my initial treatment in 2022 with great results (complete response). I just read about DATROWAY (datopotamab deruxtecan), a new treatment that's being reviewed by the FDA for metastatic triple negative breast cancer patients who can't receive immunotherapy. While this doesn't apply to my current situation since my cancer hasn't spread, I'm interested in staying informed about new options that might be available in the future. Should I get a second opinion when my oncologist delays breast cancer surgery?

I have triple-negative Breast cancer on Jan 27 2025 in April they started my chemo treatment and stop in July because it put me in the hospital them on September 2 went back in hospital for blood clot then in Dec 1 they did a CT scan and found something in my lymph nodes so on Dec 19 they a Pet CT scan I had to wait until Jan 29 for a biopsy to see what is now they are going to do a laporascopic surgery Mar.2 put they keep telling me I can't have surgery on my breast tumor until! they know that I don't have cancer in other parts of my body. I don't if I need to change my oncologist it too must time in between appointments all he want is run tests on me but I have stop chemo treatment and no surgery

Have anyone experienced a return of her menses ? I’m 44 n I finished iv iv chemo on may 2025 n my rounds of keytruda and capecitabine 2 weeks ago n I just have like seem is my menstrual . Should I be worry ??

How do you feel after completing cancer treatment and getting clear scans?

Good morning!! After more than a year…16 cycles of IV chemo, lumpectomy/reconstructive surgery, 15 radiation treatments, and 8 cycles of capecitibine. I am officially done!! I had mammogram/ultrasound on Monday which came back clear and my port was removed on Thursday. It has been a challenging year with immense fatigue, muscle loss, skin turning to crepe paper, and hair loss (not all thanks to cold cap) and I’m ready to get my life back. I have tried to maintain physical exercise throughout and now it’s time to ramp it up as much as my body allows me. Trying to keep a positive attitude was sometimes difficult but encouragement from friends, family, and this group has helped. Because of TNBC I know that I am at higher risk of reoccurrence but with oncologist checkups every 3 months I hope that if it does, it will be caught early again. Thank you all for sharing your experiences as it has helped mine. 😁😁

Has anyone else had TNBC come back after 10 years? How are you doing?

Hey. I’ve just finished treatment for my SECOND instance of TNBC. The first was nearly ten years ago. I thought I was free of it - there’s a tiny percentage chance of it coming back after so long but I guess never say never with cancer eh? I had different chemo this time - Capecitabine. It was a lot easier than EC and Taxol but still mashed my liver. Feeling great now and there was no lymph node involvement. I’ve now had a double mastectomy too. My question is, are there any more people out there with multiple recurrences of TNBC? And how are you doing? Thank you Sam

How can breast cancer change from HER2+ to triple negative after treatment?

I was HER2+. After left breast mastectomy surgeon took 4 lymph nodes, 3 were positive for cancer. So now I have triple negative? I’ve done chemo, immunotherapy, and left breast mastectomy. How does this happen?

Is anyone else triple negative, BRCA2 positive metastatic, taking olaparib? I know it’s a new application for BRCA. Very hard to find anyone else who’s doing it.

Hi All, Not thrilled about 2026 😏 I’m about to start first round of chemo this week for TNBC (Keynote 12 weeks/ then 4 cycle-Red Devil) Any advice on cold capping , results , dos & don’ts? Going to try PAXMAN and hoping to save 50% of my hair 🤞 if I’m lucky . Thanks in advance 🙏
