What new TNBC prevention research means for survivors in remission?

I have triple-negative breast cancer and completed my initial treatment in 2021 with a complete response. I just read about some encouraging research from SABCS 2025, including a preventive vaccine for TNBC that showed a 74% immune response rate and studies on adding carboplatin after surgery that improved outcomes by 7-10%. As someone who's finished initial treatment, I'm particularly interested in the prevention research and what it might mean for those of us in remission. • Have any of you heard about or participated in TNBC prevention studies or clinical trials? • What has your follow-up care looked like after achieving a complete response? How did it feel to ring the bell after finishing chemotherapy?

Happy New Year everyone! To God be the glory, I rang the bell! In December of 2025 and have completed my last Chemotherapy Infusion. I start Radiation Therapy in January. I am focused and ready for 2026. Thanks to my team at Emory Winship, they’re the best at what they do.

Can TNBC chemo cause recurring mastitis or could it be inflammatory breast cancer?

Anyone with TNBC both DCIS and IDC have issues with mastitis after 12 rounds of Carboplatin, Keytruda, and Paclitaxel/Taxol followed by an additional 4 rounds of Keytuda, Cyclophosphamide, and Doxorubicin. Breast surgeon had concerns that it could be Inflammatory Breat Cancer but her and the oncologist said it was mastitis the fist time, took antibiotics, 2weeks later the pain. Swelling and redness are back. Any clues, tips, or hints???

Should I continue Keytruda after mastectomy if side effects are bad?

I have just received PCR for TNBC. My oncologist wants me to complete 9 more rounds of Keytruda. I started having side effects prior to my double mastectomy. I don’t want to continue with Keytruda. I understand there is only a 3% difference in reoccurrence. Does anyone else think this is true?

Remission question - When do you start counting the days? After surgery? Or After you're done taking Xeloda?

Why won't my doctors perform a mastectomy for metastatic breast cancer?

Hi Everyone, Has anyone had an oncologist and or breast surgeon refuse to perform a mastectomy? I am MTNBC, diagnosed almost 1 yr ago. Chemo wasn't successful so now I'm on Trodelvy (ADC) and Fulphila. I always wanted a mastectomy as I see my implants as the root of the problem and the breast as food/fuel. They said the cancer is already spread so no sense operating. Maybe so, but why can't I get tumors removed? Thanks for your opinion.

Why do my hands go numb at night after cancer treatment?
