What's preoperative chemo like for triple-negative breast cancer?

I have stage II triple-negative breast cancer and my doctor has recommended chemotherapy before surgery to help shrink the tumor. The treatment plan includes a combination of chemotherapy drugs, and my regimen may also include Keytruda (pembrolizumab), which is an immunotherapy. The goal is to make the surgery more effective by reducing the tumor size first. Can cancer develop in the opposite breast less than a year after treatment?

Does any one have experience cancer in the opposite breast no even a year after treatment was done. I just got the remission new from my left breast from TNBC after some chemo, surgery , radiation and post chemo meds, now I just got the new that I need a stereotactic biopsy on the right coz they saw 2 small masses . I devastated because I can’t believe I might cancer on my right no even a year after treatment was done

Why aren't my chemo treatments working with TP53 mutation?

I'm on my 6th chemo and this TP53 mutation is causing the chemo treatments to not be as effective. I was 1st diagnosed in September 2023 and started chemo in November of that year. I had a lumpectomy in April 2024, a mastectomy in July 2024. Started Xeloda in November 2024 relapsed. Started Trodelvy in January 2025 relapsed, started Eribulin in December 2025 and the tumors started growing like crazy in the mastectomy area, under my left arm, and head towards my back. January 2026 stared Gemcitabine, Carboplatin, and Keytruda. Saw some shrinkage, but I missed a treatment cause my numbers were too low and they started growing again. March I started Doxorubicin and have noticed the tumors have shrunk and are not protruding in the mastectomy area, but I've had open wounds since using the Eribulin in that area.

I had TNBC and when doing the surgery, my surgeon didn’t put in a drain. I kept getting pneumonia and after the 4th time - I was hospitalized with sepsis and almost died. I’ve been trying to get advice from a Medical lawyer, but no one will take my case…smdh

Why does my port hurt and when should I be concerned?

Port pain! Has anybody experienced any port pain? I have been experiencing pain on the third day of the port being placed not at the site, but in the middle of my chest towards my throat right in the dip where my collarbones are. When I take a deep breath or exhale completely or try to burp or laugh I feel pain a sharp shooting pain with pressure like gas is trapped in my chest. Sometimes when I bend over,or sit upright it doesn't come up. It's sporadic. Has anybody experienced that? I had a chest x-ray done and a CT scan done that day. I was supposed to have my first chemo session, but they paused it because of my discomfort. Everything came back fine but I don't know why I'm experiencing this? Is it my mind manifesting something or anxiety/panic?

How are others handling their first chemo cycle with minimal side effects?

Just diagnosed late Feb 2026 two visible lumps rt top side of rt breast and rt arm pit. 3/12 first round started pembrolizumab (Keytruda), doxorubicin (doletaxel), and cyclophosphamide (carboplatin) treatment is repeated every 21 days. Today the 14th no side effect other than high glucose yesterday. Normal today. Blessings.

I'm currently receiving breast cancer treatment with Adriamycin (doxorubicin), cyclophosphamide, docetaxel, plus Herceptin (trastuzumab). I've been dealing with some challenging side effects including very severe fatigue, severe constipation, and severe dry mouth, along with mouth sores and digestive issues. My oncology team is aware and helping me manage these symptoms. I'd love to connect with others who have been through similar treatment experiences. • What helped you get through the toughest days when side effects were really affecting your daily life? • Do you have any practical tips for managing severe fatigue and other symptoms during this type of treatment regimen?
