How are you coping with lymph node involvement?

Yes I have lymph node involvement and the cancer was found in my skin in my armpit ( punch biopsy in November) had 2 petscans- December and again 2 weeks ago plus other scans. Stage 3B - surgery tomorrow, then chemo then proton therapy because I can’t be radiated in that area again. And I have lymphedema in my breast for the past 4 and 1/2 years. It comes and goes and PT doesn’t really help. And I have tried many ways to get rid of it with no luck…

I did have lymphnode involvement in only 1 node. I had my bilat-mastectomy 2/15 when they removed 4 additional lymph nodes. I am working with a PT who specializes in lymphedema, lymphatic cording, etc. She has taught me some stretches and techniques to help manage. It hasn't been long but so far I feel like it has been helpful!
