Many people in the triple-negative breast cancer community have experienced receiving chemotherapy recommendations even with clean margins and negative lymph nodes, as treatment decisions often involve multiple factors beyond just those initial results. This can definitely feel surprising and overwhelming when the path forward isn't what was initially expected, and those feelings are completely understandable in this situation.

3 months agoMary Jane , I don’t know if ur oncologist explained to you what kind of cancer TNBC is . Even if everything is clear , they can’t take any chances . Unfortunately, chemo and possible radiation needs to be done in order of our rate survival can be high. Hang in there . I will be done sooner than you expected it ❤️

3 months agoHello I was diagnosed in June as well was suppose to do radiation then the surgery but then was told more test came back and it was triple negative but aggressive , Dr wanted to go with 6 rounds of chemo first . I will be done the end of October and then see what’s the next step. Ask how many rounds you have to do wish you well with your treatments try to stay hydrated.
