2 years agoHad my pet scan this week and found out yesterday that there is some uptake in my bones as well. Oncologist said that it's nothing to worry about with tnbc they have seen this before. But they want me to start chemo next this coming week which makes me worry even more. I just had my port put in yesterday Friday the 17th and they called later that day with all of this. Has anyone else been told the same thing and scheduled for a bone scan just to have it come back negative, or should I prepare myself.

Waiting for test results and facing the possibility of bone involvement can feel overwhelming, especially when everything seems to be moving quickly with treatment planning. Many members of this community have experienced similar situations where initial scans showed concerning findings that ultimately turned out to be benign or related to other factors. The additional bone scan your medical team ordered will provide much clearer information, and it's encouraging that your oncologist has reassured you based on their experience with TNBC cases.
