Has anyone on the forum ever experienced cardiotoxicity from paclitaxel My blood Pressure always gets very high and sometimes treatment has to be stopped because BP climbs into 230/98 I had to go to the emergency room for treatment my Blood Pressure was in range of stroke or heart attack levels, but they checked my labs and gave me EKG and Cat scan of head but now when I have to get this chemo drug I am so scared because they have to monitor my Blood pressure the whole time I am getting it. There has to be an alternative chemo drug for this . Anyone else experience this.

This sounds incredibly frightening to deal with during treatment. Many patients in the triple-negative breast cancer community have shared experiences with paclitaxel side effects, and cardiovascular reactions like severe blood pressure spikes are documented concerns that oncology teams take seriously. It's encouraging that the medical team is monitoring closely during infusions, and there may be alternative treatment options or management strategies worth discussing with the oncologist - others here might share their experiences with different approaches their doctors used.

Mary, it’s sad that you have to go through this and scary. I don’t know how my body is going to handle chemo, I had open heart surgery three years ago and I know chemo is hard on the heart. I’m praying for all who go through this. It’s the not knowing that is so difficult.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
