Anyone with TRiple negative breast cancer have elevated liver enzymes and did not tolerate kaytruda reaction to taxol and carboplatin? I’m restarting chemo after 4 week break with doxorubicin and cisplatin . Kind of feeling like chemo just isn’t for me. Anyone do alternative treatment?

Treatment challenges with triple negative breast cancer can feel overwhelming, especially when dealing with side effects from multiple medications. Many community members have shared similar experiences with treatment tolerance issues and the difficult decisions that come with them. Speaking openly with your oncology team about these concerns and exploring all evidence-based options available to you is so important during this time.

Hi, I had elevated liver enzymes and lowered with steroids but now high again after no longer being on steroids. Dr. Thinks it’s from keytruda but also having scans done now.

I didn’t start with any issues until 3rd cycle but always notify your doctor with fevers 100.4, and chills. I had joint pain and numbness in my feet. Make sure during taxol infusion that the nurse will give you ice for hands and feet to prevent neuropathy. It really helped me. I did get nausea and vomiting as my cycles went on. During infusion if you start to feel like you can’t swallow let your nurse know immediately. I reacted to taxol on second time and it’s fairly common on dose 3. They will give you pre meds to prevent it but sometimes you need more . It seems overwhelming at first but I’ve learned to keep positive and push forward. Best of luck and praying all goes well.

I was on the same regimen. I did not tolerate the keytruda and also had very elevated liver enzymes directly related to keytruda (seems common). Decision was made to just continue with chemo with no further issues.

Hi I just found out I had elevated liver enzymes also on my lab report , I had to take a break in chemo also because Keytruda was affecting my Lungs . I was becoming so short of breath and could hardly work 100 ft without becoming so short of breath had to sit down wherever I was .My oncologist has decided I will stop chemo for right now and go ahead and plan for my surgery . Surgery date is March 5 I am looking forward to having surgery and see what the surgeon says about if I will have to continue with chemo. Please pray for me I will pray for you all.

Sending prayers for you and all. I did have reactions to the Taxol on week 2 and then on week 4 with the Keytruda, which was swallowing and pain on my left side. that's where my port is located. I haven't had any new reactions, thank god. I also had to skip treatments due to low white cell count in between. I'm getting Keytruda today, fingers crossed all goes well. Every week is like a box of chocolates..you don't always know what you're going to get. Hope all goes well with you. GOOD LUCK AND SPEEDY RECOVERY!. 🙏🙏🙏

Sending Prayers to all on this forum, Please pray for me I will have my Surgery March 5 2024, I can no longer take chemo because of the side effects it was causing to my organs and body. But I was able to get in about 14 rounds of chemo and had to stop in January of this year , Now going to have Seed Tracer placed on Monday and surgery is scheduled for March 5 I have a phenomenal surgeon so I pray I will be strong and I believe everything is going to be alright in Jesus name.

I had my seed tracer placed on February 19 and it was no pain at all I had a great radiologist I talked to my surgeon afterward and I have decided to have a mastectomy because I don't want to take radiation treatment . Praying for all this forum and I ask that you pray for me .Surgery is still scheduled for March 3 has anyone up here had a mastectomy and went home the same day that the only thing I am not comfortable with and I let my Surgeon know. I am 65 and I could see this with a lumpectomy but not a mastectomy.

Praying for everyone 🙏🏼🙏🏼 my surgery is tomorrow (March 8th)- it’s my 3rd rodeo with TNBC within 4 and 1/2 years. I don’t know what my chemo plan is and I am getting a 2nd opinion at Hopkins on 3/25. Interested in hearing about Xeloda/ Capecitabine, Amy Diana please. I am also getting my port placement tomorrow with my surgery… also had Genomic testing but my oncologist won’t put me on that treatment plan because it is for hormone based BC. But DNA testing is to find other chemo treatments and off label. I also am doing Mistletoe injections. Anyone else?
