4 months agoDoes any one have experience cancer in the opposite breast no even a year after treatment was done. I just got the remission new from my left breast from TNBC after some chemo, surgery , radiation and post chemo meds, now I just got the new that I need a stereotactic biopsy on the right coz they saw 2 small masses . I devastated because I can’t believe I might cancer on my right no even a year after treatment was done

4 months agoWhile it's understandably frightening to face the possibility of cancer in the opposite breast so soon after treatment, this situation does happen and many community members have shared similar experiences. The stereotactic biopsy will provide the clear answers needed, and remember that finding small masses early - if they are cancerous - often leads to better treatment outcomes.

4 months agoYes. 6 months a part I had multiple in 2nd breast. If it was me, I would skip the biopsy and have a double mastectomy (if you haven't had any). I think stress from the first caused more to grow. Do whatever you can to prevent more growth.

20 days agoTry not to panic yet! My doctor ordered an MRI of my right breast to check that the chemo had shrunk the tumor, prior to my upcoming lumpectomy. I was days away from my last of 12 Taxol infusions (following 8 weeks of Red Devil) when the MRI showed a tumor in my left breast. I was panicking thinking I would have to have more chemo and radiation, and wondering how it could even be possible to get more cancer while actively in treatment. A biopsy eventually proved it was benign, but I completely understand how you’re feeling. It’s a horrible experience. However, It did reaffirm to me that I was making the right decision in opting for a double mastectomy, as I hopefully won’t ever have to go through this again. I’ll be praying for a negative result for you as well.

20 days agoThank Cory , everything was benign 🙏 I have a lot of cyst on the right breast and apparently the facility I went for my screening confused them w mass coz they had artifacts on them 🤦🏻♀️ I went o my surgeon organization and everything is fine !
