Severe Headaches During Radiation Treatment: Anyone Experienced This?

Hey everyone I have tnbc that’s inflammatory and invasive. They have me doing 2 radiations a day for 4 weeks. I’m in last days but I recently developed these crazy headaches or head pain that feels like someone is bashing my brain with a hammer. It comes on suddenly with no warning and because it’s in my liver they can’t give me Tylenol and my low platelets keep me from ibu or aspirin. Usually they are same time of day and seem to get worse if I lay down. They have a bunch of recent brain scans and so they don’t think it’s that. Trying to figure if nerve or something else. Has anyone delt with this? I had some eye floaters and numbness in my fingers yesterday.

The severe headaches during radiation treatment sound incredibly difficult to manage, especially with limited pain relief options due to your other health considerations. Many patients in this community have shared experiences with various side effects during intensive treatment schedules, and the timing and positioning patterns you describe may be worth discussing further with your radiation oncology team. Hopefully others here can share their experiences with similar symptoms during treatment.
