Hey everyone. I'm newly diagnosed. Stage 2b possibly 2c tnbc. I'm so scared to start chemo. I have a ton of scans coming up quick. Please tell me your experience first starting. I have 3 little girls and am so worried

Starting chemo can feel overwhelming, especially when caring for little ones, but many people in this community have walked this path and found ways to manage treatment while being there for their families. The scans and initial steps often feel like the hardest part because of all the unknowns, but having a clear treatment plan can bring some relief - others here will likely share their experiences with balancing treatment and parenting to help you feel more prepared.

You can do this! I had tnbc. I did chemo, surgery, radiation and then chemo. I was able to continue my life. Challenges but a positive attitude, prayer, rest and prayer!! You can do this!!!

Well it was rough but I got through it. I had taxolere and cytoxan. I had a lot of side effects but it was worth it. Doing nothing is still a plan and the consequences of doing nothing is a much earlier end to you life. I still enjoy my life even with the chemo ups and downs. I am fighting to stay alive for my 1 1/2 yo and 4 yo grandsons. Their other grandmother died of a brain aneurysm when the oldest was 3 months old. Life is worth this fight- never give up- never surrender!!!

Tiffany, hope you are doing well. How is your treatment going?

Hello Tiffany get at least a second opinion at another facility and possible a third. Scans are good to see what is going on. Take a family member with you.

Your going to get through this! I had same diagnosis in October 2021. Treatment is not easy but you will be fine! ❤️🙏🏻

Tiffany, you will get through especially with that motivation. I suggest getting the cold gloves/booties thru Amazon and use them just during just the taxol infusion. Neuropathy is so common and cold seems to prevent it. You can learn tons and tons if you join the Triple Negative Foundation Facebook group. Especially if you use the search function for your questions. People ask about chemo prep daily.
