a month agoHas anyone here had experience with the Rogel Cancer Center (part of the University of Michigan medical system) in Ann Arbor, MI? I have my first consultation appointments there next week (march 16) and wondering about how fast treatment starts after those appointments.

a month agoTreatment timelines can vary at comprehensive cancer centers like Rogel, but many patients find that oncology teams work efficiently to coordinate care once initial consultations are complete. Wishing you well for your appointments next week - hopefully others in the community can share their specific experiences with the center's scheduling and care coordination.

18 days agoJessica, I am in Pennsylvania and go to another major health care facility that also specializes in cancer care. My treatments were scheduled within a week or two, following my biopsy, labs, and confirmation of the need for chemotherapy. I started before port insertion, as the cancer was aggressive, but had the insertion about 3 weeks into treatments … could have been inserted earlier but I waited for a different radiologist. Best wishes and prayers.
