How do I manage fear with chemo almost done?

I'm just scared! 2 more chemo treatments left. Because of severe joint pain I was put on a high dose of Prednisone which means my Keytruda has been withheld until I titrate off. My taper ends in Feb 2027 so that means months of no immunotherapy. Also, I would love to lesson the neuropathy in my feet. I have places to go and people to see, not ready to give up.

Fear during treatment transitions is completely natural, especially when facing changes to your care plan. Many patients in this community find that connecting with others who understand these challenges can provide comfort and practical coping strategies. Consider discussing your concerns about the treatment gap and neuropathy management with your healthcare team, as they may have additional supportive options to explore during this time.

Oh, Kim, I wish I could help relieve your anxiety! This is all a scary experience at times. I used the iced mittens and socks during my chemo -- not sure if they helped or not. I have neuropathy in my toes. Thankfully not painful but it is persistent. I have tried some foot creams (amazon) for neuropathy-- doesn't take it away, but helps a little, I think. I am told it can take a long time (months to a year) to go away. I am looking into acupuncture now. Sending positive thoughts your way! Take care.
