5 months agoSo what about veggies? Did you cut them out too?
Accepted Answer
Dietary changes during cancer treatment can be complex, and many people find themselves adjusting what they eat based on how they're feeling or medical recommendations. Vegetables are generally considered an important part of nutrition, but everyone's situation and tolerance is different. It might be helpful to discuss any dietary concerns with your care team to find an approach that works best for your specific needs and treatment plan.

5 months agoI limit my carbs to 20 a day. Whatever veggies fit into that. Weigh and measure. I eat avocado which uses up some carbs. So minimal veggies like broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, asparagus, small amounts of a small salad. If you dealing with diarrhea you stay away from trigger foods like raw veggies and onion and garlic. Look up diarrhea triggering foods. If diarrhea persists demand a colonoscopy to see if you have colitis which requires treatment. Im on budesonide.

4 months agoOn YouTube search starving cancer. There is a lot of guidance. Avoid starches and fruits as they are loaded with sugar. Try intermittent fasting..also lots of good advice on YouTube. Just had an immunotherapy treatment last week and did my 72 hours fast surrounding it. But it's really hard to do if you regularly eat too many carbs daily.

3 months agoWhich molecular type do you have? Not all cancers are glucose sensitive. The keto diet suppresses primary tumors but accelerates metastases.

3 months agoI do not know..I've been successful in being cancer free with two pet scans. I believe starving cancer cells matters. I had stage 4 which metastasized. Sugar is poison. 95 % of the time I am sugar free..20 carbs a day. High saturated fat. Moderate protein. My ca125 numbers improved before I had my first treatment. And continued to improve. Last one was 10.
