Had my 1st Chemo 11 days ago. When do you start feeling better? Still extremely tired, gassy, and feel like a mack truck hit me.

Recovery timelines after chemotherapy can vary significantly from person to person, and what you're experiencing at 11 days post-treatment is completely understandable. Many people in this community have shared similar experiences with fatigue and digestive issues following their first chemo session, and it's helpful to connect with others who truly understand what you're going through.

That's so true - everyone's recovery timeline is different, and what you're feeling sounds totally normal for where you are in the process, though it might be worth asking your care team if there's anything specific they recommend for managing the fatigue and digestive issues you're dealing with.

It’s hard to say when because there are so many different chemo meds. Research and talk to your doctors about exercise. I wasn’t able during chemo but started the month after my last treatment. It was a game changer and I now try to attend classes 4 days a week. Our local Wellness Center (through hospital) offers free oncology exercises for a period of time. You might check into that.
