Hi all. Endometrial IICm p53abn. 11 sessions into external radiation. Guidelines say chemo, but my doc and tumor board disagree with that. I'm trying to learn more.

Hi Laura, I had the same highly aggressive p53abnormal type of endometrial cancer. Labeled Stage 1c, III. I had a radical hysterectomy December 2024, and Chemotherapy, April 2025; only one treatment due to horrific side effects. Tried the cold cap to retain some hair; sadly, I was bald in 2 weeks. Had 25 pelvic radiation treatments plus 3 Brachytherapy (internal vaginal) treatments. Thought we were blessedly done!!! Had routine follow-up CT scans in September 2025; they tragically revealed several suspicious lung nodules. Since then, I’ve had two PET scans, and two Bronchoscopies with biopsies. Waiting on the results of the last biopsy done yesterday. It’s all very suspicious, but inconclusive. We’re constantly praying for the best, but it’s awfully hard when you’re in limbo. I wish you the very best on your journey, and am sending you prayers and light. Surrounded yourself with loved ones who bring you joy; they will make all the difference! Above all, find doctors you can trust, and walk away from those who want to “experiment” with needless tests, dehumanize you as just a “diagnosis,” or crudely proclaim that you are going to die soon (yes; one doctor told me this without conclusive test results!). YOU are worth every ounce of goodwill, respect, and optimum care! I wish you the very best. 🙏 ~Suzanne
