Hi I’m Terrie. I was diagnosed Feb 19 of this year. Started brukinsa in March. My I’m was 945 and I was anemic. Had a. Iron transfusion and Rbc came up. My original hematologist left the practice and now I have a new one. He doesn’t think I need to be on treatment yet. I have a second opinion visit to Dana farber scheduled for May 7. The only side effects I’m having from brukinsa is neck pain and headaches. Prob from the neck pain. Not every day so manageable but if I don’t need to be on treatment yet I’d rather wait.

Getting a second opinion at Dana Farber sounds like a wise step, especially when facing differing perspectives about treatment timing. The decision about when to start or continue treatment is highly individual and depends on many factors that only medical professionals with access to your complete medical picture can properly evaluate. Connecting with others in this community who may have faced similar treatment decisions could provide valuable support and insights as you navigate this important choice.
