I would love to hear from people who had diffuse large bcell lymphoma and have stayed in remission after treatment. Just need some positivity in this uncertain scary time.

Finding hope during treatment can make such a difference, and it's wonderful to see community members reaching out to share their experiences. Many people in this community have found strength in connecting with others who've walked similar paths with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. The experiences shared here often help others feel less alone and more optimistic about their own journey ahead.

I had diffuse large b cell lymphoma and in remission now for almost 2 1/2 years. It is not easy starting this journey. You spend so much time getting treatment test doctor apts and then ok now your in remission. See you in 3 months then six months etc. I just thanked God for all his help. And friends and family for all their prayers and care and just start getting back into the world and keeping busy. I was not a patient anymore and gonna be happy and live my life. It just happens over time. Good luck. God's peace.

I've had large B cell lymphoma for a couple years. Ì fought it to remission in about 6 months after initially diagnosed. Then it relapsed. I went through 4 rounds of remission/relapse before I got a longer lasting remission this year. It's been over six months and my doctors are optimistic that I'm finally out of the woods! Don't ever give up!!

What does remission /relapse involve? I have my scan soon after completing treatment October 4th. Has anyone used MRI for follow up to lower radiation exposure?

My husband had DLBCL stage 4 in his head and after 6 RCHOP infusions and 6 methotrexate infusions, he is cancer free !

I was diagnosed with DLBCL in 2023 and went into remission in June 2024. I’m still holding steady, and I’m deeply grateful for that. But the worry never fully leaves. Some days I don’t think about cancer at all, it feels like it never happened. Other days it hits hard, and the fear is right there again. I’ve heard the term “post-traumatic cancer syndrome,” and that honestly feels accurate. My dad died of lymphoma 40 years ago, so I think that history keeps my baseline anxiety higher than I’d like it to be. Even in remission, there’s this quiet vigilance that never completely turns off. I’m wondering if others here feel this push-pull too, the gratitude and the lingering fear living side by side.

Dr Lorelei that is 100% on the money. I feel all those things. I'll be doing normal things and then it will hit me and I'll go over the whole journey again. The first scan, trying to get a biopsy (took 3 tries) all the chemo and pet scans, loosing your hair. Then I'll turn to my husband and ask him "do you think I am still in remission?" And he will stare into my eyes for a little bit and then say "yes I do". It's crazy. God Bless everyone going through this journey!

Peggy it's almost like remembering someone else's experience. I look back but I don't see myself in it. I wrote a book and during the process I found memories and experiences showing up on the page and not knowing where they came from. Did I really go thru that???? Wow 😳
