2 days agoI was diagnosed with large B Cell lymphoma in 11-23. Had chemo and onogulous blood transfusion. I was cleared as in remission in February. I was coming along fine and 2 weeks ago they found a skin melanoma. I had it removed and checked that it was all removed (it was!) but I must say that it set me back to hear the word “Cancer”again. At least the caught it above the surface of the skin.

a day agoThe emotional impact of hearing "cancer" again after remission is completely understandable and deeply challenging, even when it's a different type that was caught early and successfully removed. Many people in this community have experienced similar feelings when facing new health concerns after their initial cancer journey, and those feelings of being "set back" are valid and shared by others who've walked this path. Consider connecting with others here who may have navigated multiple cancer experiences, as their insights and support can be invaluable during this time.
