Finding out about a cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming, and those feelings of confusion and shock are completely natural responses that many people in this community have experienced. Taking things one step at a time, connecting with others who understand what you're going through, and asking questions when you're ready can all be helpful ways to navigate this challenging time.

Hello Julie itโ€™s a shock for sure . Iโ€™m one treatment in with R CHOP and trying to get to second but hit some roadblocks. Do you have a plan yet?

My first R CHOP infusion did not go that well. Stomach infection when those white blood cells drop (around day 7). Also had Thrush. But rounds 2 & 3 much better with some antibiotics to avoid both.

Well thatโ€™s good ! My neutrophils went to 0 and ended up in hospital for a few days never found infection , so Iโ€™m on hold for second treatment. Has your tumor shrunk ?

This probably sounds weird but make jokes this will be 2nd time in a little over 2 years having lymphoma the first time was follicular lymphoma this time looking like its Burkitt lymphoma not sure yet. Just need to realize not much you could do to prevent getting cancer some humor sometimes help.

I haven't started treatment yet it's been kind of hectic 2-3 weeks slated to start chemo the 12th then once done with chemo will do radiation treatments the mass is close to my kidney. Also they originally thought it was Burkitts but after biopsy determined its diffused large b cell lymphoma.

I went through treat for Follicular lymphoma in '23 also did maintenance treatments for FL in 24 so this is second time in 2 years I admit at first I broke down for a couple of minutes but also know I can beat this one too I've been through worse.

I screamed in my pillow for a few months. It is overwhelming. So is the response from friends, strangers, and family. I was getting 50 texts a day just asking me how I felt. MD Anderson hooked me up with a mentor-prayer buddy. It was wonderful.

I have Gastric MALT Lymphoma. I did 4 Rituxen infusions ending in July. Nothing shows up a my Petscan but ai still have residual signs of it per my Upper endoscopy. I find out Thursday what is next for me. Did anyone else clear this with a Rituxen only?
