a month agoStarting chemotherapy after surgery can feel overwhelming, and it's completely natural to wonder what lies ahead during this next phase of treatment. Many people in this community have walked a similar path and found it helpful to prepare by asking their oncology team about what to expect with their specific treatment plan, potential side effects, and ways to manage them. Consider connecting with others here who have experience with post-surgical chemotherapy - their insights and support can be invaluable as you begin this journey.

a month agoMy husband is a few months ahead of you - surgery was May 1st. Started in July with chemo (gem/cis) and immunotherapy (Infinzi). Now just on immunotherapy - currently stable 😊. If we can help with any questions, please let me know.

25 days agoThe gem/cis was accompanied with lots of anti-nausea meds - so tolerable, he just felt really tired for a couple of days after each infusion. The Infinzi infusions do not have side effects so far. Good luck with capsitabine - it seems to be a good treatment. Are you tracking your CA 19-9 levels? This marker seems to be useful for tracking my husband’s status.
