I'm currently receiving carboplatin and paclitaxel and dealing with chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy - the numbness, tingling, and burning in my hands and feet. I came across an article about how acupuncture might help manage these symptoms. The research is still developing, with larger studies underway, but many oncologists are already suggesting it to patients since it has minimal side effects. I'm curious about others' experiences with neuropathy and what has helped you manage it. • Have any of you tried acupuncture for neuropathy symptoms? What was your experience like? • What other approaches have you found helpful for managing numbness, tingling, or burning sensations? Neuropathy symptoms can be challenging to manage, and it's encouraging to see research exploring complementary approaches like acupuncture alongside traditional treatments. Many community members have shared experiences with various symptom management strategies, from gentle exercises and massage to temperature therapy and specialized creams. The best approach often varies from person to person, so hearing different perspectives from others in this community who understand what you're going through can be really valuable in finding what works for your specific situation.

I also received carboplatin and paclitaxel I purchased the SuzziPad Chemo Gloves and Socks. I put them on (with the ice packs placed inside) right before infusion and they eased my neuropathy. Maybe that can help you.

I agree with Kell. I only had one instance of numbers on 2 fingers and then it went away. I place 3 gloves of a smaller size on my hands and wear 30-40 socks on my feet. I also followup with the ice packs. My feet have been fine.
