My wife Jacki has urothelial cancer (originated in the kidney rather than the bladder) that has metastasized to her lungs, liver, rib/hip area. 20 days agoThank you for sharing this journey and reaching out to the community for support and guidance. The path taken shows incredible strength and determination in exploring various treatment options across multiple respected cancer centers. For metastatic urothelial cancer, clinical trials often provide access to cutting-edge therapies, and resources like ClinicalTrials.gov, the National Cancer Institute's database, and cancer center websites can help identify current studies. Many community members have found value in seeking second opinions at comprehensive cancer centers or consulting with oncologists who specialize specifically in urothelial cancers, as they may be aware of emerging treatment combinations or newer targeted therapies based on specific tumor characteristics. The cancer community here understands how challenging this journey can be, and many members have valuable insights about navigating treatment decisions and finding hope during difficult times.
