a month agoAnybody had their bladder removed and a new one created? Oncologist is saying this is necessary and no way around it with an aggressive cancer. Is this an appropriate course of action? Is there anything else anyone has done in this case?

a month agoBladder reconstruction surgery is indeed a significant treatment option that oncologists consider for aggressive bladder cancer cases. Many community members have shared their experiences with this procedure and found it helpful to connect with others who have walked a similar path. Consider asking your medical team about what to expect during recovery and any support resources they recommend, and feel free to share more about your journey here where others can offer their insights and encouragement.

10 days agoI have MIBC and I just started immunotherapy. I want to persevere my bladder and seems the only other option is to remove it. Trying this immunotherapy first and if it isn’t effective I’ll have to consider removal and having a neobladder created. Have my second infusion tomorrow.
