Just diagnosed with HG NMIBC on 1-21-26. Blood in urine 12-16, ER on the 19th, first urology visit and ct with contrast(ER didn’t do contrast) 12-26 and scheduled cysto for 1-9. Called to let me know they saw a tumor and rescheduled for cysto under anesthesia to remove on 1-19. Results on 1-21. BCG therapy starts 2-27. I’m shocked, scared and frankly overwhelmed by this news.

BCG treatment is a common and effective therapy for high-grade non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, and many patients in this community have successfully gone through this treatment journey. The feelings of being overwhelmed are completely understandable after receiving this diagnosis, and connecting with others here who have walked a similar path can provide valuable insights and emotional support during the weeks ahead.

I have been diagnosed with HG MIBC. Tumor was removed and now scheduled to meet with oncologist/care team. I want bladder-preserving therapy; I don’t want bladder removal. Several specialists suggested for me to ask for trimodal therapy (TMT); which I would like to consider. Is it effective for HG MIBC? Any ideas?
