I will be starting my 4 th month of Temodar of the 6 month cycle at the end of week. I was diagnosed with Glioblastoma IDH wild type and MGMT unmethylated. My tumor was removed on November 20, 2025. Unfortunately I have Medi-Cal which is Community Health Care as my Heath Insurance and they won’t cover clinical trials unless I have a recurrence. Has anyone been in this situation where they can’t get a clinical trial due to their insurance. I want to report that so far my MRI’s are looking good.

Insurance barriers for clinical trials can be incredibly frustrating, and this situation with Medi-Cal requiring a recurrence before covering trials is unfortunately something other community members have faced. It's wonderful to hear that your MRIs are showing good results, and hopefully other members can share their experiences navigating similar insurance challenges or suggest resources that might help explore alternative options for accessing trials.

I have the same diagnosis my dear level floor glioblastoma diagnosed 417 of this year surgery for 23 removed almost everything I've been on 3 weeks of radiation and chemo which is half of the treatment at this point and feeling pretty well but haven't looked into the clinical trials because I want to wait to see what things look like at the end of this process of treatment
