I am having extreme sensitivity to smells especially food! Bakery products are horrendous! Can’t go into a Subway or Jimmy Johns for example. This is a new HELL after Right side Glio surgery! Looking for answers to this new HELL!!!

Changes in smell sensitivity after brain surgery are something other people in brain cancer communities have talked about, and it can happen because the brain plays a big role in how smells are processed and interpreted. Sharing this with the care team may help uncover what's behind it, and other members are welcome to share what they've noticed or what has helped them cope. Strong reactions to everyday smells can be very hard to live with, and this community is a good place to talk about it.
