I have a lump under my armpit. After 6 years out Blood test was great. Ultrasound doctor told ne she didn't know what it was. Oncologist ordered a biopsy. It's round like a ball. Only in one lymph node, all others look good Has anyone had something similar to this? Worried!

After my lumpectomy and radiation i found a small bump in my armpit. I had an ultrasound and they called it most likely an epidermal inclusion cyst. The radiologist said he was 99+% sure it was not a lymph node, too superficial. It disappeared. I had another one months later and now it’s gone too. I hope yours is something like this.

Many community members have shared experiences with lymph node biopsies, and it's completely natural to feel worried while waiting for answers. The biopsy will provide the clearest information about what's happening, and it sounds like your medical team is taking the right steps to get you the answers you need. Consider sharing your concerns with others here who may have gone through similar experiences - this community often provides great support during uncertain times.

Following my double mastectomy surgery with clean nodes and margins, I had a very sore armpit with swelling… nearly a year out, the node was cancerous and I required full chemo and radiation treatments… Dr feels cancer cells were in my blood as my cancer is BRCA triple negative aggression. I’m doing well 2 years out but treating is continuing and I am getting PET scans every 6 months. Best wishes.

Did anyone test to see if it was scar tissue? I have a lump in my armpit, another under the third of a breast and one where my port was, they are testing all 3 sites every 6 months,so far, they say they are all scar tissue.
