2 years agoMy onco dr says anything I use in skin care or personal care doesn’t go deep enough to affect my letrozole. I want to believe him but I’m so careful. I Google every single herb. bc some have more than one So far everything I’ve found that rebuilds skin and hair from treatments has something that increases estrogen! Frustrating !!! Guides please?? Finding safe skincare and hair care products while on hormone therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when it seems like so many ingredients come with warnings. Your oncologist's guidance about topical products generally not penetrating deeply enough to interfere with letrozole is medically sound, though it's completely understandable to want extra reassurance about what you're using. Consider looking for products specifically formulated for cancer patients or those going through treatment, as these are often designed with these concerns in mind, and don't hesitate to bring a list of specific ingredients to your next appointment for personalized guidance about your skincare routine.
