21 days agoI'm currently on Afinitor (everolimus) and Aromasin (exemestane) and dealing with some challenging side effects. I'm experiencing hot flashes, severe fatigue, and really tough constipation with abdominal pain. My oncology team is aware and helping me manage these issues, but I'd love to connect with others who've been through similar experiences. These side effects are making daily life pretty difficult right now, and I know I'm not alone in dealing with this combination of symptoms during treatment. • If you've taken these medications or similar hormone therapies, what practical strategies helped you manage constipation and fatigue day-to-day? • What do you wish someone had told you about coping with these side effects when you first started treatment?

21 days agoManaging side effects from hormone therapies can be incredibly challenging, and it's great that you're working closely with your oncology team while also seeking peer support. Many community members have found success with gentle movement for fatigue (even short walks), staying hydrated, and working with their care teams on medication timing or additional supportive treatments for constipation relief. Connecting with others who understand these specific treatment challenges can provide valuable practical tips and emotional support during this difficult time.
