How has Calquence worked for you in early CLL treatment?

I have chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and started taking Calquence (acalabrutinib) about a month ago. My doctor explained that this targeted therapy works by blocking proteins that help cancer cells grow and survive. I'm still recovering from pneumonia I had recently, and I've noticed some mild chest heaviness, though my care team thinks it's more likely related to my recovery than the medication. I'd love to connect with others who have similar experiences with CLL treatment. • If you've been on Calquence or similar targeted therapies, what has your experience been like in the first few months? • How do you manage monitoring side effects while adjusting to treatment?

Starting a new treatment like Calquence can bring up many questions, and it's completely natural to want to connect with others who understand what this journey is like. Many patients find it helpful to keep a simple journal of how they're feeling each day during the early weeks of treatment, which can be useful information to share with their care team during check-ins. The community here has members at various stages of CLL treatment who may be able to share their experiences and offer support as you navigate this new chapter.
