Seeking experiences with Ivermectin or Bitter Melon for metastatic breast cancer

I have metastatic breast cancer (ER+) that spread to my liver and is only in my liver. I'm getting ready to go on Fulvestrant and Kisqali. I've been fighting this since 2017 and have had great success. Is there anyone out there in a trial with Ivermectin or Bitter Melon? MD Anderson is already endorsing bitter melon, which is only found here in Asian markets.

It's wonderful to hear about the success you've had in your treatment journey since 2017. While some community members may have experience with various complementary approaches, it's always best to discuss any additional treatments with your medical team, especially as you prepare to start Fulvestrant and Kisqali. Your oncologists can provide the most current information about clinical trials and evidence-based options that might complement your planned treatment regimen.

That’s interesting about the bitter melon, never heard of it before. Just the other day my brother asked me about ivermectin and I told him that’s horse dewormer! Are there trials with ivermectin? Never heard of that before.

Yes, I think they are just now starting trials with Ivermectin.

I talked to my oncologist (who is also very active in research) about ivermectin. I think it has been used in animal studies with good outcomes, but I don’t think human studies have been done yet.

Wow that’s good to know about the ivermectin. I have an appt with my local oncologist in 2 weeks, and my dr at Roswell in March. I will ask both of them about this
