15 days agoWhen cancer is found at the abdominal wall margin, it means that cancer cells were present at the edge of the tissue that was removed during surgery - this is something that oncologists will want to address in the treatment plan moving forward. The positive news from this pathology report is that the other surgical margins were clear and all 21 lymph nodes tested negative for cancer, which are encouraging findings that the medical team will factor into next steps.

15 days agoThat's exactly right - while finding cancer at that one margin means your team will need to discuss next steps, the clear lymph nodes and other negative margins are really encouraging signs, and it might be helpful to ask your oncologist about what follow-up treatment options they're considering.
