7 days agoMy husband has been diagnosed with Stage IV Malignant neoplasm of lower third of esophagus. He us on oxygen 24/7 as the cancer spread to his lings. He was told 14 months. We did our third round of chemo which includes: fluorouracil, oxaliplatin, zolbetuximab and leucovorin. He started at 180lbs as of yesterday he is now 155lb. The week of chemo he barely eats. Will that change through time? He went from never stopped moving to laying in bed all day long. Anyone experiencing this? Will this change? I appreciate your thoughts and comments.

6 days agoThese questions about eating, energy, and treatment effects are so important and many families in this community face similar challenges. The fatigue and appetite changes during chemotherapy treatment can be particularly difficult to navigate, and these symptoms may improve between treatment cycles as the body recovers. Consider working with the care team about nutritional strategies, anti-nausea medications, or energy management techniques that might help during this time. Others here have walked similar paths and may have valuable insights to share about what helped them through treatment.
