What causes stomach cramps after GIST tumor removal surgery?

24 days agoHey there! I’m new to this whole thing and I’m trying to figure it out. I had a gastrointestinal stromal tumor removed on march 4th, 2026 and the recovery has been very good so far but now I’m having bad stomach cramps. I know it’s not poop related as I’m going pretty regularly so I’m lost as far as symptoms go. Has anyone had these symptoms before and what do I do about it?

19 days agoGleevec can cause stomach cramps but for me I built up a tolerance to the side effects of Gleevec pretty quickly and was relatively symptom & side effect free for four years! Hang in there but do let your oncologist know.
