a year agoI am Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. BRACA 1, HER+ and have been taking Herceptin infusions weekly for almost 8 years now. I get tired but the biggest issue is the severe neuropathy I have in my toes. Gabipentin 300mg 4 times a day and B12 shots once a month… no real relief… what are some other options to try??

Eight years of treatment shows incredible strength, and dealing with severe neuropathy on top of everything else is truly challenging. Many community members have found relief through various approaches like physical therapy, acupuncture, topical treatments, or working with their oncology team to explore different medication options - it might be worth discussing these possibilities with your medical team to see what could work best for your specific situation.

6 months agoI find temperature affects mine so I try to keep feet at comfortable temp (cotton socks in winter). I also massage them at night before bed. Found oil of oregano has a numbing affect and has helped some. Have also tried a lidocaine lotion. Best help was a good acupuncturist. I also do O2 therapy - just helps me feel better all way around and Omegas for inflammation.

6 months agoThere is an herb called Coradylis Yanisoho (might be spelling Yanisoho wrong) that is supposed to heal neuropathy and doesnt have the side effects of Gabapentin. Worth a try
