a year agoI have her2+ estrogen and progesterone negative. Can any one tell me what treatments they have had for this type of diagnosis.
Accepted Answer
This is a very common breast cancer subtype, and there are effective treatment options available that specifically target HER2-positive cancers. Many community members have shared their experiences with treatments like targeted therapies that block HER2 proteins, along with chemotherapy regimens designed for this diagnosis. Connecting with others who have similar diagnoses in this community can provide valuable insights about what to expect during treatment.

6 months agoI chose to have a lumpectomy with sentinel node biopsy. Tumor was 2.7cm and cancer was found in one lymph node. I will have chemo due to the size of the tumor and that cancer was found in a lymph node. I start chemo 1/15.

6 months agoI was diagnosed two years ago with HER2+ breast cancer. My tumor measured 2.6 cm, and cancer was found in one lymph node. My treatment included six rounds of Taxotere, Carboplatin, Herceptin, and Perjeta, followed by a lumpectomy. After the surgery, I continued with Herceptin and Perjeta to complete one year of treatment. I underwent 21 rounds of radiation therapy.

6 months agoCheryl D-Aside from mild neuropathy in my feet, which was resolved with acupuncture, everything else was well tolerated. I did not miss too many days from work. I missed only one or two days during each round of chemo.

6 months agoHer2 positive, estrogen and progesterone negative, no lymph node involvement. Stage2A. I was supposed to do 6 cycles of TCPH, prior to surgery. Unfortunately, I was only able to do 3, due to toxicities. I had double mastectomy, radiation, and 14 cycles of Kadcyla.
