What's it like taking Verzenio for metastatic breast cancer?

I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer to most of my bones 11 months ago. My doctor started me on the 100 mg dose twice a day for 4 months (always with monthly Fulvestrant and Prolia injections) which is his policy. The main side effect was constipation which I managed with one daily Colace pill. The secondary side effect was gas which I managed with GasX. The tumor markers decreased by 50% and my pain symptoms also significantly decreased I was then raised to 150 mg twice a day. The main side effect was diarrea which I managed with a daily Imodium. However, I went on an unlimited drinks cruise and the diarrea was aggravated plus I saw bright blood in stool. Upon my return there was a huge drop in Red Blood Cell and I was put on a drug holiday for 2 weeks then started on the 100 mg dose twice a day. I am almost recovered but still see blood in stool and suffer from both diarrhea and constipation. My tumor markers thankfully continue to drop and I have no pain at all. I will be getting my yearly post-treatment PET scan soon. I will also be getting a colonoscopy next month and seeing a GI specialist. Moral of the story DO NOT DRINK with Verzenio, especially the 150 mg dose. I had the occasional weekly drink with the 100 mg dose and I was fine but the 150 mg dose can be tricky.
