3 months agoCan someone who had 4 AC then 12 weekly taxol tell me their experience ? Was AC worse? Is Taxol lighter? Help

3 months agoMany people find that transitioning from AC to Taxol brings different side effects and experiences, with some finding Taxol more manageable overall. Each person's response can vary, so connecting with others who've been through this same treatment sequence can provide valuable insights and support during this phase of your journey.

3 months agoI had this regimen. Doxycycline/cyclophosphamide treatments were way worse than the 12 paclitaxel. All manageable.

3 months agoI did 16 weeks of taxol. ice your feet in your hands every time or you will get neuropathy. Drink a lot of hydrated water at least 150 ounces a day. I made it through it. You can make it through it.

3 months agoEveryone is different, but I found the AC harder. My HR and LFTs went up, my WBCs went down to 0. If I stood too long, I got dizzy. I did 12 weeks of Paclitaxel, it was better, I even went back to work during the Paclitaxel.

2 months ago@Timothy-can you elaborate, please? did you use ice after or during the treatment?

2 months agoI did 12 weeks of Taxol and then 4 treatments of AC over 8 weeks. The AC was way worse. I was exercising getting the Taxol and totally exhausted and knocked out by the AC. I did ice hands and feet during Taxol and would recommend for AC as well. Despite AC being worse it was manageable.
