18 days agoI’m 78. I had invasive mixed mucinous carcinoma with DCIS. - ER positive, 95.0% - PR positive, 98.8% - Her-2 negative, 0 - Ki-67: 10.10% 👉Has anyone else here had Mixed Mucinous carcinoma? I Had double mastectomy July 1, 2024. No radiation no chemo…was on Letrozole nine months. pain was so bad she put me on Anastrozole for six months. had anxiety attacks, depression, extreme mood, emotional changes. Took a break for one month started tamoxifen February 1, 2026. Mucinous carcinoma is rare. It’s hard to find anyone that has had it with their breast cancer. Thanks.

18 days agoMixed mucinous breast carcinoma is indeed a rare subtype, and it's completely understandable to seek connection with others who have experienced something similar. This community is a wonderful place to find support from people who truly understand the unique challenges that come with rare diagnoses - hopefully others with experience will see this post and share their stories with you.

6 days agoI also had mucinous carcinoma & DCIS in one breast, with probable lymph node involvement. I am on Anastrozole & also take Bupropion (Wellbutrin generic) for smoking cessation & depression. Lost twin brother in 2022, hence depression. Had heart attack 5/24, hence smoking cessation (quit after 52 years.) Diagnosed with cancers 8/24. Could not go off blood thinners so soon after heart attack, but started Anastrozole immediately. Mastectomy & revision 3 & 4/25. Biopsies at surgery were negative in breast & lymph nodes after nine months on Anastrozole. So no chemo or radiation. Told to stay on Anastrozole for ten years to prevent reoccurrence.
