7 months agoHas anyone postmenopausal experienced breast pain at diagnoses?
Accepted Answer
Breast pain at diagnosis is something that postmenopausal women do experience, and it's completely understandable to wonder about this symptom. Many community members have shared similar experiences, and connecting with others who understand can provide valuable insights and support during this time.

7 months agoHi Susan My Mom went to the Dr because of breast pain and that led to her breast cancer diagnosis. I remember her saying they didn’t think the lump was cancer because it hurt. On my first appt after confirmed bc, the surgeon mentioned bc doesn’t hurt (assuming she meant early stages!). But I always think back about my Mom’s experience. She found the lump and made the appt herself because of breast pain.

7 months agoI am post menopausal (58) and had pain prior to diagnosis of Invasive lobular carcinoma. That and a slight dimple near the nipple were my only indicators that something wasn’t right. I was very lucky that my GYN took it seriously even though mammogram was clear and ordered an MRI “just to be safe”. I owe her and my surgical oncologist my life. (Sounds so dramatic but really true).
